The territory is made up of two parts: the administrative centre, (altitude 650 m) with its surroundings and the hamlet of Montisel (altitude around 1,100 m), with the locality of Praz –Boccon below.
At the heart of the commune you can soak up a little history by a visit to the 14th church and 13th century private chapel with its table d’ hôtes. |
Also to be noted is the exceptional longevity of the lime tree planted by Perronnet de Saint- Sixt in the cemetery in 1385.

Saint-Sixt is open to tourism thanks to the resort of Orange situated on the plateau of Montisel with its leisure installations: cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, summer bobsleighing , mini-golf and go-carting. |

As the years have gone by ,the population of Saint Sixt has steadily increased, with the result that the school has always had a place in the village. Now a new administrative building has been built to meet the needs of the population.
Not to be missed: on Whit Sunday every year “ the village festival”, organised in collaboration with Saint Laurent.
We are happy to say that life is very enjoyable in our commune.
