 Arâches-La Frasse , a commune of Haute-Savoie, is part of the canton of Cluses. Situated at an altitude of 955 metres on a large sunny plateau overlooking the Arve Valley, it has a population of 1,724 inhabitants ( 1999 census) for a total surface area of 3767 hectares 149 ares 112 ca .

The resort of les Carroz (1140 – 2500 metres) is administered by the commune and the resort of Flaine (1600 – 2500 metres) is jointly managed by the commune and by Magland, a small town situated in the valley. Les Carroz and Flaine bring to the village an important tourist and economic activity. |
