This wine-growing village is famous because of its vineyards with the well-known vine Gringet which gives a spqrkling or still white wine : AYZE wine (AOC).The screw-cutting and subcontracting industry has its place in the industrial parks ; there remains only one vineyard in the territory , but the hillside is much sought after for quiet homes that often have a beautiful view over the Bargy and the foothills of Mont Blanc.
The village is lively and friendly thanks to a few shops, a hotel ,restaurants, gîtes etc…
The associations help to build links among the population of Ayze and even beyond, and some not-to-be-missed dates are an opportunity for a village festival atmosphere, with the schoolchildren, football, the church fête committee, the annual Môle mass, etc…
As for leisure activities, there are walks to the pastures of the petit and grand Môle, the col du Reyret etc... |
