
The commune of Nancy / Cluses is part of the Canton of Scionzier.
It has a population of 357 inhabitants and is situated at altitudes between 500 and 2,000 m.
It has two main levels : the Chef-Lieu and the Hameau de La Frasse at an altitude of about 930 m the Hameau de Romme which is at the summit of a magnificent pass at an altitude of 1,300 m. Even higher , at a culminating point of around 2,000 m , are the mountain pastures of Vormy , where there is a superb panoramic viewpoint of Mont-Blanc and the Alpine Chain.

During the past few years the Commune has been revitalised: there were 58 children in 3 classes at the beginning of the last school year..
The associations are well-developed and have created an activity appreciated by many ,as it covers Art, Culture and Leisure.
Because of its position the Hameau de Romme is the Commune’s ski resort. Families can taste the joys of the snow thanks to three ski tows, snow-rope and a ski centre ; the joys of snow and of sun ,as the pass is exceptionally well-exposed .…

Hikers ( on snowshoes or skis) have a superb landscape in which to practise their favourite sports, a landscape that goes as far as the Pointe d ’ Areu at 2,473 m.
On the « pedlars’ way» on the level of the Chef-Lieu you can admire the heritage of the commune : the heritage gate, the chapels of La Frasse and La Fley, the “twin’ bread ovens and the magnificent baroque church are the main features.
